It’s not that I didn’t care about the mythology of the show, I just feel like many shows have come and gone that are very focused on their mysteries and their mythology and ambiguity and there is no worst scene in the history of genre than the Architect explaining to Neo everything that happened in ‘The Matrix’ and I wasn’t gonna fucking touch that with a ten-foot pole. So, we have the Architect and we have ‘LOST’ and the ‘LOST is not enough’ and ‘the Architect is too much’, and somewhere in-between is ‘just right’, and I’m gonna always be closer to ‘LOST’ than I am to the Architect, because that is just not interesting to me.

He was amazing… 

Besides he also made it clear that for some people nothing will be good enough. You give answers to everything and they’ll go “too much answers. hate you!”, you won’t answer every damn mystery and want some things to be ambigious for viewers to come up with their own explanations and people go “where are mah answers!?” It’s almost impossible to please every damn fan.

At the end of the day LOST’s finale was 1000000 times better than many finales out there. I’m with Damon, i’ll always be closer to the type of finale Lost gave me.

Besides questions and mysteries were what made Lost interesting and leaving some of the mysteries unanswered was very fitting to the essence of the show. JMO.

Ok so Fate815 posted some parts from The End script on fanforum. She bought it on e-bay so its hard to know whether this is the real deal but since she owns many original scripts from season 1, after comparing them she says it looks legit.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT…. AFTER READING THE JATE SCENES I JUST REALIZED HOW MUCH I FUCKING MISSED MY OTP.

I dont even care if they’re real or fake… I just love the feeling. You know. It just brought me back to the good ole days when we get news and go crazy over it and fill the pages of the Jate threads in nano seconds. GOD HOW MUCH I MISSED GOING CRAZY OVER JATE!

From “Nothing is irreversible” scene

“But we can’t forget - these two were engaged. They were in LOVE”

“Even after everything they’ve been through, it might not be OVER for these two”

From the concert scene

“Who is this beautiful stranger in this beautiful dress who he can’t help but feel is…. FAMILIAR in some way?”

‘And now we can see that she’s EMOTIONAL. Her eyes filling. Not with sadness but with PURE UNADULTERATED JOY as she steps forward and touches his FACE.

From the “Let the island sink” scene

JACK: But if i can’t… If it doesn’t work — you all need to leave. You need to be on that plane.

And if there was any dooubt before, there isn’t NOW. This is IT. But Kate won’t accept that —

KATE: No. You casn come with us. You don’t have to —
JACK: — I do have to.

She shakes her head, ANGRY as she is emotional —

KATE: You don’t.
(then)
Just let the island sink, JACK.

And he just looks at her. Great SADNESS in his voice as he softly says —
JACK
I can’t.

From the cliff scene

“And now Jack’s eyes again FIND —

KATE’S. Water drips down and mixes with her tears as he moves to her. And it’s like everyone and everything else drops away and it’s just the TWO OF THEM

JACK: You have to go Kate

(then)

Get Claire on that plane.

Kate shakes her head. She UNDERSTANDS the inevitability of this conversation but won’t ACCEPT IT—”

“He just looks at her. HIS eyes are wet now. He CAN’T promise her. And she knows he won’t lie to her. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. A beat. And she moves to him. Into him. KISSES him. Deep. Long. It’s romantic and tragic. It says everything they’ve never said and everything they’re never going to. Simply put — It’s good-bye.”

“Finally their lips part. Kate’s hands caress his cheek. And she says the only words possible in this moment—

KATE: I love you.

And Jack smiles. Smiles like we haven’t seen him smile in a very, very long time

JACK: I love you.

Her hands linger on his face for one finale beat. She can’t do this. But has to… she lets go”

From the church scene

“Someone takes Jack’s hand and clutches it tight. PANNING UP TO REVEAL Kate. She smiles, eyes wet — they’re finally seeing each other — the SAME Jack and Kate we’ve always known— for REAL.”

“GIACCHINO playing it now as Kate leads Jack over to one of the PEWS. Sits down on the aisle. And as they smile at each other, we can see everyone else doing the same.”

“FAVORING JUST THE COUPLES NOW. No longer focused on the group but on the person NEXT TO THEM. Playing the pure LOVE between them.”
